Focus on communities photo exhibition

BloomBars is the venue for a new photography exhibition showcasing the work of Washington, DC high school students hailing many different ethnic backgrounds.
The exhibition is titled, Many Languages, One Voice, and that’s also the name of the community advocacy organization behind the show. The photos were shot by MLOV’s Student Multiethnic Action Research Team, comprised of high school students in enrolled in a program called, DC English Language Learner. They will be on display at BloomBars Thursday night for an reception the group has dubbed a “sneak peek.” The shots will remain up at the 11th Street NW cultural emporium for the month of December.
