“Latino US: Cotidiano” book and exhibition launch today

Opening tomorrow at the former residence of the Ambassadors of Spain is a traveling photography exhibition “visualizing the U.S. Latino experience.” But celebration of the “Latino US: Cotidiano” show and a companion photobook begins today at the National Portrait Gallery, where there will be a book signing and discussion with Spanish curator Claudi Carreras, Spanish photographer Ricardo Cases, and American University lecturer Carlos Tapia.

According to the invitation, “Latino US: Cotidiano” features the work of a dozen of Spain’s “most talented photographic voices working internationally” and is meant as “a dynamic look at the rapidly changing nature of the Latino experience in America.
