Novelist Javier Cercas reads at the Library of Congress

Javier Cercas, novelist and Professor of Spanish Literature at the University of Girona in Spain, reads from his work and discusses the state of contemporary Spanish literature today at 2 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

He will also be signing copies of his new novel, Las leyes de la frontera, published earlier this fall by  Mondadori. For a synopsis of the novel (in Spanish) and other information on Cercas, check out his website.
