“Ayquina: Los pasos de volver ~~Ayquina: the return steps”

Esta exhibición de fotos por Alejandro Blanco muestra el festival de La virgen de Guadalupe de Ayquina, el festival religioso más importante en el desierto Atacama de Chile. El festival se celebra en septiembre, y Sr. Blanco, cuya pasión está en los patrimonios culturales y naturales de Chile y su pueblo, intenta a dar una ventanilla al mundo de los festivales religiosos no conocidos de Chile para mejorar el entendimiento mundial de todas las costumbres ricas chilenas.

This exhibition by photographer Alejandro Blanco shows the festival of Our Lady of Guadalupe of Ayquina, the most important religious festival in the Atacama Desert in Chile. The festival is celebrated every year in September, and Blanco, whose passion lies with the cultural and natural patrimonies of Chile, tries to open a window into the world of this lesser-known religious festival, in hopes of furthering global understanding and knowledge of Chile’s rich customs.
