As part of Hola Cultura’s new weekly YouTube posts, we’ll introduce you to our team and discuss our projects on the first Wednesday of each month. This week we feature Hola Cultura’s Volunteer Coordinator Angélica Marrero. We’d like to thank the Center for Cultural Engagement at Catholic University of America for providing us with space to carry out interviews with Hola Cultura’s team.

Come back again every Wednesday for a new video.

Here’s the line up:

1st Wednesday of the Month features about Hola Cultura’s people and projects.

2nd Wednesday of the Month is dedicated to featured recipes with the area’s best Latino chefs. Next week Connie Ortiz-Johnson will show us how to make buñuelos!

3rd Wednesday of the Month we’ll post new interviews with artists, writers, musicians, and other LatinX creatives.

4th Wednesday of the Month is dedicated to videos with community members.

Dear Readers,
While you are here, please take a minute to donate and help Hola Cultura continue to thrive. Time is running out on our year-end fundraising drive. An anonymous donor issued us a $3,000 challenge. If we can raise $3,000 from you, our readers, who visit our website or attend our events, this donor will contribute another $3,000 in matching funds this month.
We are not salespeople. We are artists, journalists, students, teachers, and volunteers from the community working together to banish harmful stereotypes and celebrate our cultural riches. Year-round we bring you the untold of the community entirely free of charge. But we depend on you donations.
Please give whatever you can.  Even as little as $3—the price of a cup of coffee—your tax-deductible contribution will help Hola Cultura continue thriving in 2018. And it only takes a minute by clicking on the PayPal button below.
