Hola Cultura acogerá TamalFest DC el 19 de abril 2015 || Hola Cultura will host TamalFest DC on April 19 2015 and we’re looking for a few talented cooks and cooking teams. (English below)

Invitamos a la comunidad latina de Washington a asistir a este festival. Vengan a comer o a cocinar. Estamos buscando cocineros con talento, principiantes y equipos de cocina. Todos los cocineros son bienvenidos, sin discriminación de color, sexo, edad o país. Chefs entrenados, aprendices y entusiastas; así como vendedores ambulantes y los responsables de la cena familiar. Además claro, grupos escolares y organizaciones comunitarias, grupos de amigos y parientes, cualquier experto en el arte de hacer tamales pueden inscribirse y compartir sus tradiciones.
En Hola Cultura celebramos la diversidad, por eso no nos limitamos a hablar de tamales. Si usted es un hacedor especializado en hallacas, chuchitos, humitas, bollos, pasteles dominicanos y puertorriqueños, y otros similares; los cuales durante siglos se han disfrutado en todo México, Centroamérica, el Caribe y América del Sur, queremos que se una a nosotros.Todos son bienvenidos. Vengan a degustar de la variedad “tamalistica”.

Cooks of all types, ages, genders, and national origin are welcome! Trained chefs, street vendors and family dinner makers, as well as school groups and community organizations, teams of friends and relatives—anyone skilled in the art of tamale making can sign up and share their traditions.

At Hola Cultura we celebrate Latino culture in all of its diversity, so we are not just talking tamales. If you are a skilled maker of hallacas, chuchitos, humitas, bollos, pasteles dominicanos or puertorriqueños, or other similar dishes enjoyed for centuries throughout Mexico, Central American, Caribbean and South America, we want you to join us.
